Jaipur: City residents are in to treat when the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will develop an extension of 113 hectares of Silvan Park in Agra Road.
With this, the city of Pink will get another park as big as Central Park.
The Civic body will spend around Hospital 10 Crore for projects as announced by the minister’s chairman in budget speech.
This project is expected to increase the city green cover.
Because the city is developing, JDA is developing a park for various zones to reduce travel time to use the facility.
Working to develop the park will begin immediately after the final design is prepared by the consulting company.
“The presentation to develop a garden is given on 3.
This November will be an extension of the existing park and have been developed, it will be one of the largest parks in the suburbs,” said an official JDA.
The official said, “A land has been identified near Canota and JDA will develop it as a park.
The park will be a theme-based and it will have several custom species.
More than 50,000 bushes and trees will be planted.” The source said the city had less than 10% of the breadth under green cover, which is much lower than 20% compulsory required according to the 2025 parent plan.
Previously, JDA had planned to develop a forest park and plant yields, but the results were far from satisfying.
Civic’s body and forest officials said the increase in green cover in the city was the task of Herculean and needed sustainable efforts and sufficient resources.
As per the plan master, the entrance from Delhi, Ajmer, Sikar, and Agra, should have a green corridor of 30 to 45 m on both sides of the approach.
However, the project cannot be resolved because of the unavailability of land.
To increase the green cover, Civic must turn on the room in his new colony.
“It is the only way to save the tree planted.
Now because the land is available, planning has been done to plant more trees and increase green cover,” the official said.
