Mumbai: Airline Jet Airways that does not function to owe each employee anywhere between RS 3 Lakh and Rs 85 Lakh according to claims received under the bankruptcy settlement process.
The plan of revival, submitted by the owner of the Kalrock-street, proposed payments around Rs 23,000 for each employee.
Under the resolution plan, which was recently applied by the National Law of Tribunal Law (NCLT), payment will be made only if 95% of Jet employees gave their acceptance on the plan in the next three months.
But without words in the order of NCLT even in legal contributions such as percent and without clarity in their delayed contributions, Jet Airways employees have found themselves in improvement.
“Jet has asked employees to vote, either or not, to the plan to be cleaned by NCLT.
But the plan almost does not offer around 0.5% of the total amount owed to each employee.
This is as good as zero,” said Kiran Pawaskar, President, All Indian Jet Airways staff officers and associations.
“If the problem is not resolved, we will challenge this in court,” he told TI.
The Association recently sent a letter to the Minister of New Civil Aviation, the Minister of Labor and Regional Labor Commissioner.
