JAIPUR: JMC-Heritage on Tuesday deployed 20 sewer jetting machines from Walled City to clean blocked drains.
Although it’s been hailed as a positive measure, it’s not a permanent method of this decades-old issue.
The machine can help civic employees clean clogged drains with no human intervention exactly like Delhi and Hyderabad.
The civic body bought 20 machines of 1,500-litre ability through Jaipur Smart City Limited.
Each device costs Rs 26,68,500 along with the complete investment was Rs 5.38 crore.
The sewer lines have been laid 40 decades back and with passing of time, people has increased manifold due to that sewage choking has come to be the largest difficulty in Walled City.
The program for shift of sewerage lines has been created but not implemented because of funding limitations.
Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar explained,”There’s a necessity to obtain an alternate solution for this issue.
We’ve obtained the sewer machines that employees will not need to go within the drains.
Many sanitation employees have lost their lives because of this.
It’s a fantastic beginning.” Determined by reversal of sewer line, the mayor stated that this is a long-term strategy where a DPR is going to be made along with also the quote price is going to be computed.
It’s stated that the whole job will cost approximately Rs 150 crore, which is hard for the business, which is cash-crunched.
