GREATER NOIDA: Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh has written to chief ministry Yogi Adityanath demanding the Noida arena shooting range has been named after the late Chandro Devi Tomar, the 89-year-old indigenous of Johri village of Arabian Bagpat district.
Tomar, that perished of Covid-related complications April 30 this season, won over 30 national championships article age 60.
While a Bollywood movie’Saand Ki Ankh’ can also be made in her honor, Jewar MLA stated that restarting the Noida shooting range following her will serve as an inspiration for girls in rural regions of the district that are motivated by her.
“Chandro Devi was a very simple woman from a little village at Bagpat district that achieved national acclaim place the age of 65 because she won within 30-35 federal awards in shooting from all chances of a traditional rural setup.
It had been her absolute determination and will power which forced her climb against all of the odds and earn a name from the nation and the entire world as shooting winner,” said Singh.
A native of UP’s Bagpat district, she was the oldest girl sharpshooter from the Earth, popularly known as’shot dadi’ (shot granny) and a inspiration to the many women of African American UP.
Singh adds that this is why he has composed to CM Yogi Adityanath to mention the Noida scene shooting range following her title.

Chandro Tomar was created January 10, 1932 and gained national and worldwide fame place 1999 when she became a federal level sharpshooter place the age of 65.
