Vadodara: Despite suffering a bullet injury, a jewelry faced a group of four robbers who tried to loot his bag full of money in the Nizampura area on Sunday night.
Bhavesh Soni, who owns a jewelry store in Chhani, suffered a bullet injury at his feet after one of the defendants fired him from the stating gun.
In his complaint to the police station Fatehgunj, Soni said he left his shop around 9:30 a.m.
in his car and stopped at a restaurant on the road.
After packing food, Soni reached her housing colony in the Nizampura area around 10pm.
“When I got out of the car and would take my bag that had cash 1.50 lakh cash and some jewelry, two men approached me with a motorcycle.
One of them tried to grab a bag from the car but I closed the vehicle door and locked the car, “Soni told Ti.
When the robbers entered the fight with him, Soni hit one of them with the food parcels he was carrying.
“One of them suddenly took out a gun and fired me.
I was hit by my feet after that I raised the alarm.
Two other men came with a motorcycle and the four then escaped from the place,” said Soni 43 years.
There isn’t much movement of people in housing colonies that most have bungalows.
The police said they passed the CCTV recording area after the incident to get instructions on the defendant.
The police said that they had received two of the defendants but their faces were not clear.
It seems that four gangs have followed Soni after he left his shop and they were waiting for the right opportunity to loot.
The police tried to track the defendant based on the motorcycle license plate number.
Soni said that all defendants were between 25 and 30 years and even though they were masked, he had never seen them in his shop in the past.
