JHANSI: A police constable, previously posted in Jhansi and currently in Baliya, has been reserved for owning assets over just his known source of revenue with a group of Anti-Corruption Bureau by Lucknow on Monday late night. The accused constable, Shyam Sundar, that initially goes back to Auriya and is currently residing in New Royganj at Jhansi, is accused of getting disproportionate assets that was being tracked by the group from Lucknow to get quite a while. Following a thorough analysis, the group eventually lodged an FIR against the accused constable under section 13(1)B, 13(2) Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, in Sipri Bazar police station. The accused constable hasn’t yet been arrested yet because the investigations continue to be in process. Confirming the information, SSP Jhansi, Rohan P Kanay advised TOI the group took his consent before lodging the record. He added that because identification is still happening in Lucknow, after any decision is drawn or he’s detained then he’ll be suspended.
