Jharkhand: 70-year-old man beat his wife to death because of the delay in serving dinner, arrested

Khunti: A 70-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating his wife to death because of the delay in serving dinner in the Khunti Jharkhand district, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred in Kalamati Village below the Khunti police station limit when the person hit his wife Hiramani with a stick, a senior officer said.
The couple, who was in a drunken condition, had a fight for the delay in presenting food and the man began to beat him in anger on Saturday night, said Police Sub-Division (Khunti) said Kumar.
He died in his place and his body recovered on Sunday morning, he said.
The woman’s body was sent for post-mortem examination, and the investigation had begun, the officer added.
