Hazaribag: About 75 pilgrims from West Bengal were injured after their bus crashed into a truck parked on the roadside in the Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh district, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Danuwa-Bhanuwa Ghat at the National Highway 2 in the Choularan police station area, they said.
The impact of the accident, which occurred on Monday night, was very severe that all 75 passengers were injured, and the nine conditions of them were serious, police said.
The pilgrims travel to Bodh style from Basirhat in the North Pargana district of Bengal Bengal Barat, they said.
Most passengers were given first aid and were dismissed from the local health center, but nine seriously injured passengers were called Hazaribag Medical College and hospitals, police said.
However, relatives of nine passengers refused to admit they were there and took them to West Bengal.
The pilgrims are scheduled to travel to Vrindavan at Uttar Pradesh after visiting Bodh style in Bihar.
The bus was confiscated and a registered case, said the police.
