Ranchi: Chairman of the Minister of Hemant Soren on Saturday asked the center to ensure that all coal companies operate in Jharkhand provided a 75% reservation at work to the locals and was very pitched to provide tenders / contracts worth to RS 1 Crore to open a way for the work environment harmonious.
Soren filed a claim before the Coal Minister Union Pralhad Joshi during a high-level meeting on Saturday in Ranchi.
Joshi’s visit closer to the heel of the meeting in Delhi last week between the delegation of the top state officials led by the Head of Secretary of Sukhdev Singh and Niti Aayog where they gathered many demands and delayed concerns, including mining.
After a quirky tour in the state in the second week of October in the background of the national coal crisis, Joshi’s visit is currently aimed at the issue to operate more coal bags that fall in Jharkhand to achieve the goal of government government.
According to an official statement from the State Information Department and Public Relations, Joshi asked Soren to personally pay attention to problems regarding the three coal mines – Block Rajmahal-Taljhari, Hurl and Siyala – to make them operate as soon as possible.
Mining is always debated on a mineral-rich Jharkhand, considered a Heartland tribe with around two-thirds of the area under forest cover.
Conflict between miners and local residents, the challenges of environmental rehabilitation and environmental hazards in several mining zones are also a concern for the government.
Soren said a sustainable and harmonious mining environment cannot be achieved without dealing with local problems.
“The state government has introduced a 75% reservation in work for locals and all coal companies such as CCL, BCCL and others have to employ locals to avoid struggles.
The locals must also be given priorities in tender orders and employment to RS 1 Crore, which will Make a pleasant environment for smooth operation, “Soren said.
Joshi agreed to take problems with the trade union government.
The minister’s chairman also demands a refund that is not used by mining companies to the country so that it can be used for other well-being steps.
Rajmahal JMM MP Vijay Hansda, who also attended the meeting, demanded a certificate of settlement from coal companies for those who were displaced by their project.
“Some rehabilitated people do not have a settlement certificate because of the threat of further displacement of looms,” Hansda said.
