Jharkhand: Elephants step on farmers to death in Gumla

Gumla: A young farmer was trampled on to death by elephants in Gumla’s night village early Tuesday.
Two other people with him managed to escape, police said.
The deceased was identified as Krishna Sahu (26), a resident of Nagra Village under the Balumat District Police Office in Laterhar.
Krishna was sleeping together with Kanchan Kumar Sahu from Lohardaga and Sakaldeep Sahu from the Queen in an open tent to keep the vigil on their green bean plants that they grew up in a plot of land in the night village in Chainpur.
