Jharkhand Govt brings back 61 workers after ‘attack’ on the cellphone

Ranchi: In the midst of an attack on migrant workers in the Kashmir Valley, the Jharkhand government has ensured a safe return of 61 migrant workers from Himachal Pradesh after they were allegedly attacked by their local colleagues.
State officials said they were ready to evacuate Jharkhand workers from Kashmir too, if they were threatened there.
In a recent attack on migrants in Kashmir, two workers from Bihar were killed on Sunday.
Workers, who returned on Monday, worked with the Power Hydrielectric Private Limited project at Kinnaur District of HP.
According to the official communique issued by the Head of the Minister of Chief (CMO) on Monday, a total of 61 workers returned home in four batches and the process was active.
Everyone who has returned to Khunti, Torpa, Bandgaon and other parts of the state.
The workers begged the government to ensure their safe return, said they were attacked.
“Taking awareness about this problem, the main minister immediately directed senior officials to work with this problem and ensured they returned from Himachal,” Communique reading.
After the CM direction, the state migrant control room officials arranged under the Labor Department contacted with the management of Himachal-based companies to ensure all payments and wages of workers before return.
