Jharkhand: Humans get a life span to kill the wife for dowry

Ramgarh: The District Court here on Wednesday gave a life sentence and also slapped the fine of RS 80,000 to a man after finding him guilty of killing his wife for last year’s date.
The defendant, Jairam Mahto, came from the village of Budhakhukhra under Ramgarh City Police Station.
The court was also awarded the term seven-year prison respectively for Mahto’s father, Jageshwar Mahto, and Mrs.
Tilki Devi.
The deceased, Devi Reta, was killed for not paying Rs 2 Lakh and four-wheeled as dowry.
District Court & Additional Judge-1 session, Radha Krishna, gave a sentence.
“The court is also a fine of being slapped from RS 40,000 each in Mahto’s parents and the term extra prison one year for each of them if they fail to pay.
Mahto must undergo an additional three-year imprisonment if he fails to pay a good amount,” The Public Prosecutor SK Shukla said.
The smooth amount will go to the crime informant and Khirodhar Mahto, the father of the woman who died.
Mahto, who came from Barkagaon from the Hazaribag District, submitted number 189/2020 with Ramgarh City Police Station who accused that his daughter was killed by her husband with the support of his parents and threw a good body for failing to pay.
