Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has come up with its own jewelry line called Adivi in the first movement of its kind to provide a wider market and exposure to jewelry goods compared to handmade.
In Jharkhand, tribal craftsmen, most women in bag-pockets are dominated by different adivations for a long time, involved in daily decorative goods crafts but often starving the market and the right exposure.
Jharkhand State Liverihood Promotion (JSLPS), which works on promoting livelihoods by involving women in a number of activities through capacity building, has increased efforts to provide special markets to them.
On Tuesday, JSLP officially announced a jewelry brand on the occasion of Dhanteras to sell various types of jewelry made by non-governmental groups and protected by Palash Mart, JSLPS’s flagship shops launched last year.
Officials said Palash Mart at the JSLPS Hohal Office had begun for sale since the launch and products will soon be installed in other units.
JSLPS CEO Nancy Sahay said Adiva was an additional for the diversity of products carried out by them to increase the offer at Palash Mmart.
“JSLPS is mostly working by producing livelihoods on grassroots through different interventions.

“They are made of brass, bellmetal and other natural motives used by tribes in their daily use,” he said, adding that prices range from Rs 100 to the top.
