Jharkhand: Newborn stolen from Dhanbad Hospital

Sindri: The newborn family member created a commotion in the Snmmch Gynecology Ward in Dhanbad on Wednesday after two unidentified women stealing a baby from the hospital on Tuesday.
The inspector was responsible for the Saraidhela police station, Kishore Tirkey, said they were trying to ensure the identity of the two women who stole a baby from the hospital CCTV footage.
The police had detained the nurse of the head of the Gynecological Ward to be questioned after family members blamed him to work in gloves with both women but he was released later after another nurse at the hospital stopped working on his detention.

“The baby was handed over to his grandmother and while in his lap, a woman sitting by her side in Yellow Saree commented on the baby’s appearance and asked Grandma to give her baby because she wanted to hug her.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV and the woman could be seen giving babies to another woman, who wore red saree, outside the hospital.
“The problem was immediately reported to the police and we filed a CCTV footage to them,” said Dr.
Barnwal.
“Hospital staff serves patients.
So how hospitals can be responsible for baby theft,” he added.
