Ranchi: Jharkhand is expected to provide a promotion of major encouragement tourism in 2022 with the launch of a new policy aimed at tapping the potential of the state.
On the occasion of the second birthday of the current state government, Chairman of the Minister of Hemant Soren on Wednesday launched a policy that emphasizes that the tourism sector is one of their top priorities to produce work.
“This policy aims to make Jharkhand one of the preferred goals for tourists, both domestic and international, and to ensure the acceleration of infrastructure development related to tourism, increasing employment opportunities, increasing state resources and exhibiting rich cultural and traditional heritage,” read the concept of policy notes the.
Under the policy, the state has planned to introduce the ‘State Tourist Guest Security Force’ involving a former soldier to maintain the security of tourists and sites.
It also identifies around a dozen focus areas where it plans the overall promotion of facilities to withdraw footsteps.
It is also proposed to introduce the concept of ‘Jharkhand Home Stay schema’ with the aim of providing convenient facilities and supplements and standard availability of accommodation in various tourist destinations.
“It will be on an extraordinary Indian line, bed and breakfast from the Ministry of Tourism, the Indian government,” an official said.
The state also plans to regulate the economic zone of tourism in the public-private partnership model for the development of this zone by building air, road and train connectivity.
“The state government will act as a facilitator and focus will encourage the involvement of non-governmental organizations, voluntary institutions and agencies involved in tourism promotions and development, by giving them support, assistance, and utilizing their expertise for tourism development,” said an official.
“To improve road mobility and road transportation, road permits will be freely issued by regional transportation authorities (RTA) which supports operators / aggregators tours for deluxe operation and coaches and air-conditioned cars on the identified tourist circuit.
Operation of three-wheeled services and car rental -Van will also be encouraged.
The private parties will be given host incentives, facilitation of licenses and subsidies through a single window system, the industrial department to make it easier for business, “he added.
To overcome land problems for tourism projects, the government also plans to establish land banks.
To promote excellence in tourism, the state will also institutionalize monetary and non-monetary awards for institutions and individuals for their contributions in various tourism sectors, such as accommodation, catering, transportation, travel agents, etc.
Different fiscal incentives have also been provided in various categories to encourage hotels, resorts and other facilities.
“Incentives will include capital investment, subsequent captive power plants, interest subsidies, special incentives for women SC / ST, former soldiers and disabled people, incentives related to SGST, incentives related to electrical tasks including,” he added.
