Ranchi: The police remained at a high warning after the bandh call by CPI (Maois) on January 27 at Jharkhand and Bihar.
The East Eastern Regional Bureau, which is prohibited from calling the bandh to demand better facilities for the leader of Maois Top Prashant Bose aka Kisan Da and his wife Shella Marandi, who was arrested and currently in prison.
The clothes have stated that both Bose and his wife must be hospitalized for their illness.
Inspector General (Operation) and spokesman for Jharkhand Police Amol Homkar said, “High alert has been heard throughout the state.
Operation is underway in a sensitive area.
We keep the vigil on the highway, trains and other areas that are very strategic.” Khunti SP Ashutosh Shekhar said, “Our operation has been going on in the district because of bandh.” A police officer Ranchi said all police stations and pickets were alert and asked them to remain vigilant while on duty.
The Special Committee CPI (Maois) Bihar-Jharkhand also decided to observe Pratirodh Saptah (Protest Weich) from January 21 to 26 on the same problem.
It also demanded the status of political prisoners for Bose and his wife.
Bose and Sheela were arrested along with other Maoists from the Seraiike District on November 12.
They were taken to the Birsa Munda Central Prison on the basis of security and health.
