Ranchi: Jharkhand reported 33 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which pushed the calculation to 3,46,778, said the Bulletin Department of Health on Wednesday.
The death toll of Covid-19 remained at 5,122 because there was no new death because transmission was reported in the last 24 hours, he said.
Of the 33 new cases, the maximum of 8 new cases reported from Bokaro was attended by five cases from Simdega and three of the Latora.
There were no new Covid-19 cases reported from Chatra, Dumka, Garhwa, Girech, Godda, Gumla, Jamtara, Khunti, coderma and nails.
Jharkhand now has 320 cases of Covid-19 active, while 3.41,336 patients have recovered from disease including 49 for the past 24 hours, said the bulletin.
The Covid-19 mortality rate in this country remains at 1.47 percent, higher than the national average of 1.30 percent.
The rate of recovery of Covid-19 in the state has increased to 98.43 percent, better than the national average of 97.30 percent.
Overall, 1,10,13,912 samples were tested for Covid-19 in Jharkhand, including 53,185 since Tuesday, he added.
