Ranchi: The Ministry of Education has decided to reduce the syllabus of all classes by 25 percent and also hold two exams in 2021-22 in the view of the covid pandemic.
Educational Secretary Rajesh Sharma said this department thought of holding two final exams for all classes on the CBSE line.
The first will be a multiple choice question in November.
He said, “If we fail to hold a year-end examination in February-March because Covid, the sign will be assigned based on the term exam I (November).
As in CBSE, the Syllabus of the Term Exam I and the Year End Examination will be separated.” Sharma said that administration Hope Covid will not be at its peak during the examination and at least one of them will be held.
He added that the letter in this regard will be issued soon.
In addition, the syllabus will be limited by 25 percent this year because almost a third of the academic sessions have been disturbed because of Covid.
It can be stated here that the school remains closed until grade 8 while the offline class for class IX to XII starts earlier this month.
Sources said the State Council for educational research and training will work on the envious syllabus, adding the ENT committee to form in this matter.
The subject, which is taught to students in the previous class, will be deleted.
In addition, topics, which are not too important, can also be limited.
For example, for English, grammar will be maintained but some stories can be dropped.
Last year, the government had reduced syllabus by 40 percent due to covid pandemic.
