Washington: Jill Biden wears a medical boot after a recent foot injury at Hawaii Beach.
The boot was on the first leg of the woman’s first Friday when she and President Joe Biden took a helicopter in Delaware to fly to the David Presidential Retreat camp in Maryland.
He also holds crutches.
President Biden helped him navigate a short staircase to the helicopter.
The first mother stabbed her leg at the end of July during a beach trip in Hawaii, where she flew for an official event after participating in the opening of the Tokyo Olympics, the White House said.
He returned to Washington on July 26 and received the outpatient treatment at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on July 29.
President Biden joined his wife at the hospital.
His spokesman, Michael Larosa, said it was not known what caused the stab, but the wound was cleaned, not infected and expected to “recover well.” The first woman has not been seen in public since she returned from Hawaii.
