Sindri: Four people died when the illegal mine roof collapsed at Colliery Gopinathpur from ECL on Tuesday, police said.
However, the former leader of MLA and Culu Chatterjee, said at least 15 people were killed in three such incidents – two in the ECL and one mines in the BCCL -ON mine on Tuesday.
Chatterjee said while 10 people were destroyed to death on the Gopinathpur open player project from ECL, the other two lost their lives in other mining accidents in the Capacara outsourcing Patch of the ECL.
Likewise, two women and a young girl died in a mine accident at Patch C left from Colliery Durable BCCL.
Former Mla said the victims of Gopinathpur accidents including Manoj Bauri, Payal Sharma, Pushpa Devi, Jubaida Khatoon and then Ansari.
Meanwhile, family members from the capacara incident escaped with corpses this morning.
One of the victims of the Daughly Accident was identified as Basanti Gope, he said, added that there was an unprecedented increase in illegal mining in the NIRSA area under the “local police supervision”.
Dhanbad SSP Sanjiv Kumar confirmed the death of four in Gopinathpur left mine and said their bodies had been taken from debris.
“We have submitted FIR based on complaints by mine management and have been looking for reports from the Directorate General of Safety Mines,” he added.
