Ranchi: Jharkhand will be the first country to publish caste certificates from campus every school managed by a government and private to ensure every child has one in the next six months, CM Hemant Soren announces the assembly on Tuesday.
“We will do a special drive in all government and private schools after 29 December.
Every student will issue a certificate of caste,” said Soren.
Odisha began school practices that issued SC, ST and OBC certificates to children in November 2017, but limit it to the government-managed institution.
The process was suspended during the pandemic and had not continued, even though many schools have been reopened.
In all other countries, the caste certificate was issued by the district judge’s office, blocking development, Tehsildars, Mamlatdars and other designated income officials.
Soren revealed that the government’s plan was to publish a caste certificate for all schools in response to the notification carried by BJP Mla Neelkanth Singh Munda, trying to know the government process to speed up the process.
