Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Friday demanded a national audit amid all deaths that occurred because of Covid-19 since last year’s pandemic outbreak.
Speaking to reporters at the party headquarters in Bariatang on Friday, JMM Secretary General Supriyo Bhattacharya criticized the BJP’s MPS at Lok Sabha and Sabha because they did not challenge the recent CENTER statement in parliament where he claimed that no one in the country Died of lack of oxygen.
JMM’s response came a day after Jharkhand President BJP Deepak Prakash demanded that the state government led by the Head of Minister of Hemant Soren must publish the number of deaths that occurred in the country because of the lack of oxygen between the second pandemic of April and June this year.
“This center provides his statement in parliament based on the report he received from the state government.
Many states, which are regulated by Congress, have not published deaths that occur due to lack of oxygen,” Prakash said.
Replying to the BJP statement, Bhattacharya claimed that while the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) sent a detailed advisor on the treatment, the use of drugs and the final rites of the victim, it did not issue guidelines about classifying fatalities based on various parameters.
“Until the death audit is carried out nationally, it is impossible to find out how many people die of lack of oxygen support.
Therefore, we urge the center to start the national death audit to ensure the true cause of death,” Bhattacharya said.
