Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has fallen a lot on the government led by BJP in the middle for allegedly using military class spyware to lurking journalists and politicians.
JMM Central Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said the problem was to pay attention to national security and must be investigated by the joining parliamentary committee.
Overcoming the media here on Monday, Bhattacharya said that the investigation was carried out by the International Media Home Consortium and it was proven that cellphones throughout the world were compromised using Pegasus Spyware.
“We are more worried about lodging that occur in our country as people from various layers of society including, opposition leaders, journalists, activists, and even a judge sitting in the Supreme Court, targeted,” he said.
JMM has also linked exposure to the dismissal of the former Minister of IT Ravi Shankar Prasad recently.
“We can now join the dots and understand the purpose of the cabinet reshuffle.
The IT Minister removed by the government so that after exposure, he did not need to face the parliament,” Bhattacharya said.
JMM said that since the Israeli-based company, NSO, categorically said that he only provided software to the government examined, there was no possibility of software used by any private parties.
“From the receipt of spyware developers, we can understand that it is a government or agent involved in illegal spies,” Bhattacharya said.
He stressed that there were legitimate provisions for telephone tapping by the government but it requires a thorough test.
“The telephone tapping was made possible to the recommendation of the high-powered committee formed by the Secretary of the United States, but this non-informed spyware planting had no legal sanctions,” he added.
Calling the Anti-BJP Party, Bhattacharya said: “The venge center has used the Draconian law such as the NSA and UPA against activists and journalists who have criticized the government or have expressed disagreement.
This is evident in the case of Bhima-Koregaon where the Swamy Stan is involved wrong.
The government may use such tactics against political opponents too, which is harmful to democracy.
