Ranchi: Rejecting the corruption charges levelled by BJP MLA Babulal Marandi, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday maintained all prohibited actions at Santhal Pargana have ceased because the Hemant Soren government assumed office in January 2020.
“Over 900 vehicles involved with illegal mining and transport have been captured and Rs 90 lakh was enforced as good in Santhal Pargana until May this season.
Our government is determined to stop all illegal actions in the area,” JMM overall secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya stated.
On June 1, Marandi had detained JMM of becoming engaged with corruption, extortion and other criminal activities in the branch.
Marandi had pointed fingers at Pankaj Mishra, representative of main minister Hemant Soren at the Barhait meeting constituency, also stated he had been actively engaged in a range of illegal actions.
Marandi had promised Mishra had jeopardized a native BJP functionary for strikes from the incumbent authorities and usurping the lands of different families in the region by force.
Bhattacharya on Thursday refused Marandi’ fees against Mishra, that also holds the place of a secretary from JMM’s principal committee.
“Marandi sat for a press conference Tuesday with a couple guys who’d criminal antecedents and a couple of folks who made false promises,” he further added.
