NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) entry assessment will be conducted if it’s safe for your pupils to compose it, ensured JNU Vice-Chancellor Jagadesh Kumar on Wednesday.
He added that the choice to offset the Class 12 Board examinations in light of this COVID-19 pandemic was fair and pragmatic, and the University will correct its academic calendar in the event the entry examination is postponed.
“The decision taken with respect to the 12th standard tests is sensible and logical considering that this covid outbreak is a once in a century phenomenon.
The safety and health of pupils are of paramount significance,” Kumar said in a statement.

He added,”We can run the entrance examination if it’s safe for your pupils to compose.
If the entry is delayed as a result of pandemic scenario and whether the entrance of these pupils occurs at a later period than normal, we’ll absolutely fix our academic calendar to care for the missing time without undermining the academic rigour.”
He suggested that for undergraduate entry according to Class 12 marks, Colleges can invent suitable procedures that are reasonable and transparent.
“We will need to discover optimal solutions as opposed to feel anxious regarding the challenges faced with this outbreak.
Our Indian educational program will be capable of meeting the challenges,” he explained.
