Hyderabad: With the Indian Election Commission (ECI) announced a schedule for MLC polls under the MLA quota, some of the ruling TRS candidates have begun with the jockey at the home of the elders.
More than two dozen leaders TRS eyeing six MLC offer places.
Here with numbers (MLA) in the state legislature, the ruling party is expected to plant all MLC seats without obstacles.
It is rumored that President Trs K Chandrasekhar Rao has convinced the MLC seat to the former President of Telangana TDP L Ramana and at the beginning of Minister E Peddi Reddy and Motkupalli Narsimhulu.
The latter has joined the party just before Huzurabad Bypoll.
Under the minority quota, KCR can provide a second term to the former Minister of Fareeduddin or the Chairperson of the Waqf Board Mohammed Saleem.
The former Mayor of Bonthu Rammohan, who failed to get the MLA ticket from the UPPAL constituency in 2018, also aspires to become MLC this time.
Other candidates include former Minister of Tummala Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao, Chairman of the Authority of TS Venkateshwar Reddy, former speaker assembly S Madhusudhana Chary, EX-MPS P Srinivas Reddy and Sitaram rose, senior leader of the Karne Prabhakar Party, M Ramesh Reddy and Bandi Ramesh.
The source said KCR is likely to receive a call on the party’s nomination in the second week of November.
Of the six MLCs, who have completed their terms, Gutha Sukender Reddy and Kadiyam Srihari tend to get a second term.
The post chairman of the legislative council has been empty for the past four months after Sukender Reddy’s term ended, while V Bhoopal Reddy has served as chairman of the Protem of the Legislative Council.
KCR has convinced the council seat to the leader of Trs Nalgonda MC Koti Reddy during the election of Sagar Nagarjuna held this April.
Likewise, CM has announced the nomination of REDDY’s Kaushik rice as MLC under the governor’s quota.
But the Governor of Tamilisai Soundararajan has not yet cleared the file for various reasons.
If Kaushik Reddy failed to get a seat under the governor’s quota, the source did not rule out the possibility of KCr to accommodate it in the MLA quota.
Party sources say those who may not get the opportunity at this time, will be considered in January 2022 because some more vacancies will be filled at the time.
Elections are required after the end of the MLC period, including former Deputy Chairman of Neti Vidyasagar, the Head of Whip Bodukuti Venkateshwarlu and Akula Lalitha.
