Jodhpur: Jodhpur Station has been awarded Platinum Green Railway Station.
Ranking on the basis of 90 points.
This rating has been provided by the Indian Green Building Council – India Industrial Confederation (IGBC-CII) for the best environmentally friendly practices and systems.
Pro Senior NWR Gopal Sharma said Jodhpur was the first station to reach this recognition.
“This ranking system basically addresses problems such as water conservation, waste management, energy efficiency, use of fossil fuel nominal, despair of expensive or luxurious goods and other national priorities such as health and well-being,” Sharma said, “Sharma said.
Some Practices and processes, which have been introduced by the Jodhpur train station include designing stations to ensure more than 90% of sunlight, tree conservation and vertical garden development, the use of 100% LED lights, the use of the Bee Star value of electrical equipment, regulating the solar energy plant Warehouse with 870 KV power plant capacity etc.
Sharma said the Jodhpur train station saves energy and water, which costs around Rs.
20 lakh per year.
Other unique processes include setting bio-gas generators, which change food residues and other waste materials into energy, which is being used in kitchen and light settings, so it saves RS 6, 5 lakh per year.
