Joe Biden and the Pope held a long meeting as an abortion debate on at home

Vatican City: US President Joe Biden held a remarkable long meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican on Friday as a debate to regroup home about the support of the Catholic President for abortion rights.
The Vatican said the private meeting lasted one hour and 15 minutes and then about 15 minutes was spent on taking pictures and gift exchanges in front of other delegation members, such as the wife of Biden, Jill.
The meeting with former President Donald Trump in 2017 lasted about 30 minutes and one with Barrack Obama in 2014 lasted about 50 minutes.
The White and Vatican building statements do not make direct references to abortion problems.
The White House said the Biden thanked the Pope for “His advocacy for the poor in the world and those who suffered hunger, conflict, and persecution”.
Biden also praised “leadership in fighting the whale’s climate crisis, and his advocacy to ensure the end of the pandemic for everyone through sharing a fair global economic vaccine and recovery”.
The Vatican said both discussed “planetary care”, health care, pandemic, refugees, migrants, and “human rights protection, including religious freedom and conscience”.
Biden gave the “command coin” whale it was sometimes given to the army and the leader and told him: “You are the most important soldier for the peace I have met.” Quote what he said was a tradition associated with coins, he joked with the Pope, said: “Next time I see you, if you don’t have it, you have to buy drinks (but) I’m the only Irish person you’ve ever met who isn’t Never drink …
“The visit was surrounded by very tight security because the Italian capital simultaneously prepared to host the world leader summit this weekend.
Swiss guards in traditional red uniforms, their yellow and blue and hold high gave Biden and his wife as respect for salute because they and the US delegation arrived at the San Damaso page from the Apostolic Palace.
The aim is flying from the central balcony.
Second Catholic President.
The meeting between the first Latin American Pope and the second Catholic President in US history occurred amid a fierce debate in the United States Church, where Biden was under conservative pressure on abortion position.
The President, who went to the weekly Mass regularly and saved the picture of the whales behind his desk at the Oval office, said he personally opposed abortion but could not impose his views as elected leaders.
The US Supreme Court on Monday will hear the first of the two main cases this year challenges a series of state laws supported by the Republic of the Republic of Abortion which limits abortion rights.
Abortion opponents hope the court will reverse the 1973 landmark ROE vs Wade decisions that legalize national procedures.
Trump appointed three conservative judges to fill vacancies to tilt the court of nine members further to the right.
The most passionate Biden critics in the US Church hierarchy said he had to be banned from receiving fellowship, the central sacrament of faith, and doubled ahead of the meeting.
“Dear Pope Francis, you have bravely stated that the abortion of ‘murder’.
Please challenge the President of Biden on this critical problem.
The support of persistent abortion is embarrassing for the church and scandal to the world,” Thomas Tobin Bishop from Providence, Rhode Island, said in a Tweet.
In June, a divided conference from the US Roman Catholic Bishop chose to develop a statement about the fellowship that some bishops said they had to specifically warn Catholic politicians, including Biden …
they took another problem next month.
Asked about the debate of Communion A.S.
Last month, the Pope told reporters that the abortion of “murder”.
But he also seems to criticize the US Catholic bishop because it deals with politically problems than pastoral ways.
“Communion is not a prize for the perfect.

Communion is a gift, the presence of Jesus and His Church,” Pope said, adding that the bishops must use “affection and tenderness” with abortion politicians who support abortion rights.
Since its election in 2013 as the first Latin American Pope, Francis said that while the church must oppose abortion, this problem should not be a battle that focuses on cultural wars that reduce the attention of things such as immigration and poverty.
