Joe Biden sends greetings to Buddhists on Vesak

WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden Delivered greetings on Wednesday into the Buddhist community to the Event of Vesak, per day honouring the birth, enlightenment and Death of the Buddha.”

In Another announcement, US Agency for International Development (USAID) secretary Samantha Power desired Buddhists in the USA and across the globe a joyous Vesak. “Vesak, among the most significant Buddhist festivals, is a period of reflection about the Buddha’s teachings of compassion, calmness, and enlightenment, also reminds us of the value of USAID’s work to advance the reason behind human dignity and serve those in need,” she explained. “On this daywe commemorate the various gifts of Buddhists to humankind’s advancement and recommit ourselves to creating a more educated and peaceful planet,” Power said.
