Washington: President Joe Biden on Thursday will describe a new approach to control Covid-19 pandemic in the United States, which went berserk even though there is a broad availability of vaccines.
In a speech, Biden will focus on six fields, including new plans to get more vaccinated people, improve protection for those who already have shots and protect schools, according to White House officials.
Speech will also include an increase in testing and use masks, protect the economic recovery of a recession induced by a pandemic and improve health care for people infected with this disease, the official said.
“We know that the increase in vaccination will stop the spread of pandemic, it will get a controlled pandemic, will return people to normal life,” said White Press Secretary Jen PSaki told reporters on Wednesday.
“We have more work to do, and we still fight with a virus.” Increasing infection has raised concerns when children return to school, while also accompanying investors and the planned return of the company.
More than 53% of Americans are fully vaccinated, including nearly two-thirds of adult populations, according to CDC data.
This disease has killed more than 649,000 Americans.
With many Americans who are still skeptical of shots, the White House has announced plans to provide them who fully pick up booster shots for additional protection.
By doing that, they have rejected the argument from the World Health Organization and other advocates that rich countries must postpone booster shots before more people are inoculated.
Biden is set to send a speech at 5pm (2100 GMT) from the White State Dining Room, according to the public schedule.
