WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden will visit a new jersey that was damaged by flood and New York on Tuesday to survey upheaval caused by Ida storm, part of a new focus on domestic priorities after weeks dominating by Afghanistan.
Biden promised federal assistance and urged the national unity during the trip to the Louisiana storm on Friday after IDA destroyed the parts of the US Gulf Coast and released a more deadly flood in the northeast.
On Tuesday he will be briefed by local leaders in Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, and a tour of the environment in Manville who were hit hard by the storm.
Later he will go around the neighborhood and comment on Queens Queens New York City.
The journey of the president’s flood damage revived the role known as the principal’s head, after weeks spent maintaining his decision to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan and the deadly aftermath that occurred.
Although the Afghan problem is not behind it – the United States still works to make Americans remaining in the country, and certainly reset tens of thousands of evahres – Biden is expected to focus on the time of war to protect women’s reproductive rights to build anti-abortion laws New Texas, the end of extended unemployed benefits to many Americans and new steps to fight Covid-19.
On Saturday, the 20-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, he will visit three sites where hijacked US domestic planes fall.
The New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said on Tuesday it would take time “more likely for weeks” to complete cleaning, repair, and rebuilding after the situation was damaged by the flood and tornado of the remnants of the Ida storm.
He told CNN that Biden, who had issued a declaration of disasters for six countries, had “perfect achievements” in his response to the destruction of the storm.
Dozens of people have died because of the destruction of the storm and some countries still wrestle with extensive power outages and water containing water.
Speaking briefly to reporters on Monday night after a trip to his home country, Delaware, Biden stated that Tuesday would be “a big day.” The President has used a storm to highlight the need for infrastructure expenditure in the bill he worked to pass through the congress.
