LONDON: This is the week of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson hopes to get a handle on his government after weeks of scandal.
On Friday, he struggled to survive after a spicy report on the parties who violated the key and the departure of several top helper.
Johnson was rocked on Thursday by his resignation of his policy head, Munira Mirza, a trusted advisor who worked with him for more than a decade.
Mirza stood near PM in the middle of Revelation “Partygate” that Johnson and his staff violated the rules they had forced on the nation.
But he said “sick charges” this week that an opposition leader failed to stop a pedophile was the last straw.
After Mirza stopped Johnson’s Office announced the departure of three other top staff: Chief of Staff and Rosenfield, Director of Jack Doyle’s Communication and Personal Secretary Martin Reynolds.
Elena Narozanski, who works in the Mirza policy unit, resigned on Friday.
Johnson tried to convince the staff that he still took control of quoting the Wise Rafiki monkey from “The Lion King”, told the meeting: “The change was good” even difficult.
The conservative parliamentarians loyal to Johnson described departure as part of the reshuffle planned to restore order to 10 street office.

“This is PM who took over.” The others are not so sure.
The PM handle on power has been shaken by public anger on Revelation that his staff was held “bring your liquor” in 2020 and 2021 when Covid curbs in place.
Rosenfield, Doyle and especially Reynolds – who sent 100 government staff invitations to BYOB parties on May 2020 – always tended to be overthrown as part of the pm “partygate” shock.
The output sends further shock waves through conservative parliamentarians when they reflect on whether to look for noise not believe in PM.
Under the party rules, such elections are triggered if 15% of party parliamentarians – currently 54 people – write letters for one.
If Johnson loses like that, he will be replaced as party leader and PM.
Around a dozen conservative legislators openly called Johnson to stop.
