Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of the Kerala Congress (M) Jose K Mani submitted a nomination as a LDF candidate for the election of Rajya Sabha to be held on November 29.
The chair had become empty after the cultivation of Mani in January this year when he stopped UDF to join LDF.
He had a period of July to 2024.
Bypoll would also mean that the newly elected MP would also get a term of office only until July 2024.
Mani submitted a nomination before the legislative secretary in the assembly complex.
He was accompanied by the Secretary of the CPM A Vijayaraghavan, Assistant Secretary of CPI K Prakash Babu, Minister of Forest Ak Saseendran, Food Minister and Civil Comparison of Gredics and Irrigation Minister Roshy Augustine.
Soorandu Rajaseharan will be the UDF candidate for the election of Rajya Sabha.
The candidate was announced by KPCC President K Sudhakan.
Although LDF candidates will definitely win the election with his strength in the Assembly, KPCC decides to fight.
The last date for submitting a nomination was November 16.
