Sydney: Australia Pace Bowler Josh Hazlewood is doubtful for the second test against England with side strains and has returned home, said Cricket Australia on Sunday.
The 30-year-old player flew to Sydney after defending injury during their ninth goal victory in the opening test in Brisbane, even though he had not been officially ruled out from the daytime matches in Adelaide.

Thursday, Jhye Richardson is expected to replace him on the team.
Hazlewood underwent scan on Friday but was detained on Saturday when Australia sailed to a comprehensive victory to rise 1-0 in the five matches.
Captain Pat Cummins said after the match that Hazlewood injury was not too serious.

Even though Cummins believes, the left hander will be suitable for pink ball tests, injuries can give Usman Khawaja the opportunity to play his first test since being dropped during the 2019 ash series.
