Joyful Milkha Singh Renders Chandigarh in tears

For citizens of Chandigarh, Milkha Singh wasn’t only the legendary athlete.
He had been much, much longer — a guy who educated the town that the course of existence and left a profound mark in the lives that he touched.

His son and genius golfer Jeev Milkha Singh lit the funeral pyre.

“Both uncle and aunty shouldn’t have abandoned us.
Their son Jeev was able to play golf raise funds for treating our patients.
Uncle used to inform us to stay fit.
He was able to say whether physicians are potbellied, how do they treat the others,” explained Dr Aman.
Prof Rajesh Vijayvergiaa cardiologist who was attending him sooner, explained,”Some 3 weeks ago I said to him the name of Flying Sikh was relied upon him then Pakistan President Gen Ayub Khan.
To which he responded,’physician sahib, it had been a honor for me’.” Punjab governor and UT administrator Crystal P Singh Badnore stated,”Whenever I was able to meet with him sometimes even from the golf program, he’d meet with amazing affection.
Not merely Chandigarh, Punjab and India, however, Milkha ji’s passing is a reduction to the whole world.
He had been an inspiration for countless” Punjab finance ministry Manpreet Singh Badal, Haryana sports ministry Sandeep Singh were one of the other dignitaries who attended the final rites.
PGI manager Prof Jagat Ram was present.
Athletics Federation of India (AFI) secretary Ravinder Chaudhary attended the final rites of their legendary sprinter.
Chandigarh Athletics Association (CAA), where he was the creator presidentalso paid tribute to Milkha.
He created CAA at 1985 and remained its president until 2009.
UT Cricket Association president Sanjay Tandon condoled the passing of three-time his spouse Nirmal Kaur, also a former federal women’s volleyball team captain, also termed the bunch as an inspiration for future generations.
Tandon said the few participation for its upliftment of athletics would forever be cherished as well as their death has produced a vacuum at the sporting fraternity.
“Milkha Singh’s active participation in social functions left him everyone’s favorite,” he explained.
