New Delhi: Chairman of the Indian Judge NV Ramana on Wednesday said that the Supreme Court Judge Ashok Bhushan, who will retire on July 4, has always been a “valuable colleague” and his assessment stands the testimony of “Welfaris and Humanis”.
CJI, bidding farewell to Justice Bhushan, said that he would be remembered and grateful for his judicial contribution and he had become a good value for a higher court.
Justice Bhushan, which increased as the APEX court judge on May 13, 2016, was part of several landmark assessments including the November 2019 verdict by a five-jury constitutional bench that cleared the road for the construction of the RAM temple on the disputed site in Ayodhya and directed the center to distribute a five-hectare plot to the Sunni waqf board to build a mosque.
He was also part of a five-jury constitutional bench which in September 2018 stated that the central signal robbery scheme was constitutionally but inhibited several provisions including his relationship with bank accounts, cellular phones and school receipts.
In addition, Judge Bhushan led the five jury constitutional benches that had refused to refer to a larger bench.

He thanked Cji and his colleagues and expressed his gratitude to the bench, members of the bar, registry and personal staff.
CJI said that Bhushan’s justice journey as a legal professional was marked by many milestones.
“Bhushan’s justice has become a good value for higher justice.
The main consecutive judge has underlined this fact by entrusting him by teaching the most complicated problems, often through the constitutional bench,” he said.

The Attorney General for Venugopal, lawyer General Tushar Mehta and senior advocate and President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Vikas Singh also said goodbye to Judge Bhushan.
Besides being part of a number of constitutional benches, Bhushan Justice is heading to the bench which on Tuesday is referred to as “the apathy and” center “mismatch to create a national database for unorganized workers and ordered July 31 so that all migrant workers registered this year and Welfare steps extend to them during Covid-19 trouble.
Judge Bhushan headed for the bench on Wednesday directing the National Disaster Management Authority to issue fresh guidelines to provide minimum financial assistance standards to their families who lost their lives to Covid-19.
Judge Bhushan has obtained Law degree from Allahabad University in 1979 and registered as an advocate with the Uttar Pradesh Bar Board on April 6, 1979.
He increased as a permanent judge of the Allahabad High Court on April 24, 2001.
He was sworn by the Kerala High Court Judge on July 10, 2014.
