New Delhi: To accommodate the crowd of nine judges, relatives and their friends and advocates, the Supreme Court has decided to open a large auditorium for their oath taking, which is traditionally given in the biggest justice courtroom in Indonesia.

CJI N V Ramana has scheduled oath taking on Tuesday at the 900 seating auditorium in the SC additional building.
He will manage an office oath for Judge A S Oka, justice Vikram Nath, justice J K maheshwari, justice b v v nagarathna, justice c T ravikumar, judiciary M M M M Sundresh, and P S Narasimha.
This is the second time since 2000 that the appointed judges to SC will take office oath somewhere other than the courtroom of high ceiling leaders, which can accommodate 200 people when it is full.
On January 28, 2000, Anand Cji A has used a stage established on the SC page to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of SC to manage the oath to three SC – Kabharwal Judge, Ruma Pal and Doraiswamy Raju.
Sabharwal Justice became CJI on November 1, 2005.
Justice Pal retired as a senior SC judge on June 2, 2006, seven months before justice Sabhal.
In another important decision, CJI has decided to start physical hearing from Wednesday, the day after nine took an oath and increased the number of SC judges to 33, which was only less than the strength of sanctions 34.
