Tokyo: Judoka Naohisa Takato won the first Japanese Olympic gold medal on Saturday with a victory in the men’s 60kg final in Iconic Nippon Budokan.
The 28-year-old child redeemed a disappointing bronze medal in Rio five years ago by bringing the host nation and running in a match with a victory over Yung-Wei.
