WASHINGTON: July is the hottest month ever recorded globally, the US Ocean and Atmospheric AS (NOAA) administration said on Friday, in the latest data to underline the climate crisis.
“July is usually a warm month in the world this year, but July 2021 defeated himself as the hottest July and the hottest ever recorded,” said Administrator NOAA Rick Spinrad.
“This new record adds a disturbing and disturbing path which is determined by climate change for the world,” said Spinrad in a statement quoting data from national centers for environmental information (NCEI).
NOAA said the combined land and sea level temperatures were 1.67 degrees Fahrenheit (0.93 from degrees Celsius) above the average of the 20th century from 60.4 degrees Fahrenheit, making it the hottest July since the recording maintenance began 142 years ago.
The month was 0.02 degrees Fahrenheit higher than a previous record in July 2016, which was matched in 2019 and 2020.
According to data released by the European Union Climate Change Service, last month was the third highest July globally.
It is common for institutions to have small differences in data.
Last week the UN climate science report from the intergovernmental panel on climate change was provoked shock by saying the world was reaching 1.5C warming around 2030.
“Scientists from all over the world deliver the most up-to-date way of the climate,” said Spinrad.
“This is a serious IPCC report that finds that human influence, explicitly, causes climate change, and confirms its impact widespread and increases rapidly.”
