Dibrugarh: A man is trampled to death by wild elephants in Balijan Nepal Gaon in Digboi in Tinsukia Assam District on Sunday.
The dead person has been identified as Nirmal Singh Chetri (71).
The incident occurred when he went to cut the grass for feeding his goat in the morning.
The villagers launched a search when he did not return home and found his body in the fields.
