Nashik: Drivers jumping traffic signals and breaking the one-way entry rules have become a common sight in many parts of the city.
This violation also often causes accidents and congestion in various parts of Nashik City.
There are almost 50 road signals in various parts of the city.
Police personnel are deployed at an important intersection where the traffic signal has been arranged.
But there was a violation of rampant traffic seizures on the signal where police personnel did not exist.
Many motorists, who use the road between Mumbai Naka and the Pounrima signal, say very few follow the signals in Nagji Cowk because there is no police at the intersection.
During peak hours, especially at night, drivers often jump signals on the road under the police personnel watch.
Traffic personnel at one of the city intersections said they clicked on the drivers, who jumped the signal and took out e-challans.
In general, the police did not pursue motorists on the streets because they could endanger the life of other motorists.
Aeteram Gaikwad, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic), said, “The police continued to take action against motorists, pampering themselves in cases of jumping signals along with other traffic violations” this year, until September more than 10,000 riders have been placed to jump signals .
The proposal to suspend driving licenses from many riders like that has also been sent.
The situation is similar to the wrong side of driving or violates the rules of one-way traffic in certain parts of the city.
