Gurgaon: Guards crossed the road on his bicycle died and three of his colleagues were injured after the car hit them in sector 2 on Saturday morning.
The Honda Amaze driver – a 25-year-old man – has been arrested.
Shailender Kumar, who was from mainpuri above, was on his way home after the night shift.
He and the other three have just crossed the road in their cycle and moved one behind the other when the car hit them from behind.
The cycle was dragged for a few minutes before the concrete path.
The police said the accident occurred around 8:15 a.m.
near the gate number 3 of Ardee City.
Participants rushed in and brought the bleeding guard to the nearest hospital.
While Kumar was declared dead on arrival, the three of them underwent treatment for sad injuries.
Jang Bhadur, Sho of Sector 53 Police Station, said Kumar worked with a private company as a guard and stayed in rented accommodation.
“The driver of the car was arrested from the place itself and those who were injured were taken to the hospital,” he added.
The driver has been identified as Manan Singh (25), a law graduate and the population of Sector 50.
He told the police that he accelerated and failed to apply the brakes in time.
Joglinder Singh, who was on his way home at Indra Colony from Kanhai Village, a few meters away when the car crashed into four men.
“I rushed to the place and found the cycle was destroyed.
One of the cycles is still under the wheel of the car,” Singh said.
Kumar, who died in the accident, was Singh’s tenant.
“With the help of other people who have gathered around the crash site, we took four to the hospital.
Shailender was declared dead on arrival,” he added.
The case has been registered at the Sector 53 police station against stunning drivers under it damage to fifty rupees) and 304A (causing death from negligence) from IPC.
