Bhubaneswar: The contractual teacher under the Aegis of the 2015 Junior Batch Odisha Teacher Association on Friday held a demonstration here demanding regularization of their work.
Although the state government has convinced them about regularization of work after six years, the decision has not been realized.

Hundreds of Junior teachers held a general meeting on the lower PMG protesting a sluggish attitude suspected of being the government in solving their problems.
A total of 8,102 Junior teachers have demanded regularization of work.
These teachers were appointed in 2015 based on contracts in elementary school and on the government.

“The state government should begin the process of six months before we complete six years in work, but no one has materialized,” he added.
He said the government delayed their regularization process.
“About 11 months have passed, but we do not get communication for regularization of our work.
Even the government does not pay attention to court notice in this regard also,” he added.
Panda said the government had arranged thousands of teachers appointed with them.
“What happened to the government to fulfill our demands? Some contractual teacher friends have died recently, but then from KIN from the deceased they cannot get help or rehabilitation facilities.
We do not get the seventh payment commission salary,” he added.
The Manas Association Secretary Ranjan Parida accused the state government paying attention to the demands of employees with various categories including outsourcing staff, but did not solve their original problems.
“It is impossible to lead a dignified life with a small salary.
If the state government does not meet our demands, we will continue our Dharna at the lower PMG,” he added.
When asked, officials of the Department of School and Bulk education did comment on this problem.
