Thiruvananthapuram: Jury (fiction) for Kerala State Television Award 2020 crave the way women and children are depicted in the television series while declaring awards here on Wednesday.
The jury headed by the winner of the National Film Award R Shararh revealed his deep dissatisfaction with the depiction of women and children in a sad series.
“Channels must ensure a sense of responsibility in television and comedy serial broadcasts given that it is intended to be seen by the family,” Jury said.
The jury further shows that the majority of entries almost do not meet the purpose of the reward.
“For this reason, the award cannot be stated for the best series, the second series, the best director, and the best director of art.
There are no entries in short films for children who are unfortunate,” the jury was chosen.
Thirty-nine entries are delivered in the Fiction category.
Six entries for the tele-serial category, 14 in TeleFilm, 11 on TV show entertainment and eight entries are accepted into a comedy program.
The jury for non-fiction also criticizes entries.
The jury argued that not many makers seemed to be interested in making documentaries that intervened in the contemporary life of the Kerala community.
Aswathy Srikanth and Sivaji Guruvayur won awards for the best actresses and the best actors.
Sasidharan advice is set as a cameraman and Vishnu Viswanathan best won awards for the best editor.
