Nagpur: The puzzle of heavy machines worth crores missing in your plant of Maharashtra Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited (MAPL), Nagpur, switched murkier when it came to light on Monday that just 1 police complaint has been filed about machines theft up to now, at 2016.
The FIR stated the price of stolen machines was only Rs 26,000.
The FIR wasn’t lodged by Pune-based Hindustan Antibiotics Limited (HAL), the former parent company of the MAPL along with also a government of India project, however from Bombay Security Services, Amravati, that had deployed guards in the plant.
TOI on Sunday noted the heavy machines was discovered lost from the plant following a review by joint manager of businesses AP Dharmadhikari, former worker and union leader of this plant Suresh Gotmare, representative of former nominee manager in MAPL–Environmental Engineering Inc (EEI)– Sudhir Paliwal on May 17.
They visited the plant within directives of protector minister Nitin Raut who had been researching the prospect of restarting the plant for generation of oxygen, vaccine and drugs linked to Covid.
Gotmare and Paliwal stated the price of lost machines, materials and equipment is worth roughly Rs 50 crore according to market value now.
Following TOI’s report, MIDC police led by PI Yuvraj Hande on Monday confirmed the FIR lodged by Bombay Security Services proprietor Ramesh Upadhyay on April 14, 2016.
At the FIR, Upadhyay reported that safety protect Chandrashekhar Shelke between April 1 and 11 detected windows and gate of this plant split and components of machines stolen by the floor.
The authorities then conducted review and reported that the price of stolen machines as Rs 26,000.
An offence under section 454, 457 and 380 of both IPC also was filed against unknown individuals, as stated by the police documents.
Another criticism was teeming with MIDC authorities by protector Shelke on December 30, 2020, that was associated with theft of garbage.

According to Gotmare and Paliwal, the plant had been closed in 2003.
HAL appointed Bombay Security Services from 2002.
Gotmare told TOI,”First of those missing of these heavy machines is itself questionable.
Now, it’s extremely much apparent from the documents of MIDC authorities that bulk of machines weren’t stolen.
In addition, the HAL, that not lodged any complaint by authorities, need to bring back the machines and restart the plant to its pandemic,” he explained.
HAL managing manager Nirja Saraf didn’t react to TOI’s messages and calls.
On August 21, 2015, the subsequently union ministry of state for fertilizers and chemicals, Hansraj Ahir, had declared revival of this plant.
Ahir, the then CM Devendra Fadnavis along with Union minister Nitin Gadkari, Paliwal and previous workers had discovered the machineries complete.
According to report of this Committee on Public Undertakings filed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on January 29 this season, the HAL had advised that the committee of MPs which MSTC Limited was appointed as auctioning bureau for MAPL’s plant.
The committee had urged to market the MAPL resources and refund dues.
Fadnavis and Raut have expressed the machines missing instance a drawback for resumption of their plant and required investigation.
Fadnavis includes written letters into marriage ministers asking to restart MAPL’s plant for generation of vaccines and drugs associated with the pandemic.
