NEW DELHI: Former Supreme Court judge justice Arun Mishra on Wednesday took Control as the new chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, official sources said.
The article of the NHRC leader was lying vacant because justice L Dattu, ex-chief justice of India, had finished his tenure at December 2020.
“Justice Arun Mishra today combined as the new chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission.
1 panel member has joined,” the sources said.
Justice Mishra, who combined an apex court judge on July 7, 2014, demitted office at September 2020.
Justice Dattu had united the NHRC on February 29, 2016 after retiring since the CJI on December 2, 2015.
