Chennai: Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari took over as acting the chairman of the High Court of Madras on Monday.
Governor of Tamil Nadu R n Ravi gave his office oath to him at an event held at Raj Bhavan.
Minister of Tamil Minister Nadu M Stalin and other officials who attended the function were welcomed by Justice Bhandari.
Then, an event was held at the Madras High Court campus to welcome ACJ.
“We (bars and benches) need to join hands to serve the public,” said Justice Bhandari to the meeting present in the function.
“I have visited many places in Tamil Nadu.
I fell in love with the country and dreamed of being born in this situation five years ago.
Today, my dream will be a reality.
I was born today to serve the Tamil Nadu country and legal brotherhood,” Justice Bhandari said In return to the address of Welcome General Advocate R Shunmugasundaram.
In his remarks address, General Advocates said, “I am sure that this high court will benefit from the extensive experience of your Godhead.”
