New Delhi: Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday took over the Civil Service Ministry.
Scindia, a prominent leader of Madhya Pradesh, was sworn in as the cabinet minister on Wednesday.
He joined BJP in March 2020 and was a member of Rajya Sabha.
General V K Singh also took over as a Minister of State for Civil Aviation.
Scindia has taken over the allegations of service during the civil aviation sector facing strong headwinds because the coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on overall demand and also resulted in financial misery for industrial players.
The government also moves forward with the process of disinvestment for Indian National Water Carrier.
Scindia has served as Minister of Communication, Trade and Industry and Power during the Government of the UPA led by Congress.
Scion of the former Gwalior Royal Family was appointed into the government up to 2007 and remained part of the Union cabinet until 2014.
He resigned from Congress and joined BJP in March 2020.
His journey peaked in the chain of events that finally peaked the collapse of the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh and paved the way for the Safron Party to assume lost power towards the end of 2018.
