Kabul Airport is now ready for international flights: Taliban officials

Kabul: Kabul Airport now fully operates for international flights and all aircraft can continue service, a spokesman for the Taliban Foreign Ministry announced.
“Because the problem at Kabul International Airport has been completed and the airport is fully operational for domestic and international flights, the Afghan Islamic Emirates guarantees all fully cooperative airlines and expects all airlines and countries previously flown to Kabul to continue.
Flights like before,” said Abdul Qahar Balki spokesman in a statement on Sunday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again convinced full cooperation in his role in airing more than 40 days after the Taliban takeover, the Xinhua news agency quoted Balki as the saying.
Kabul airport was damaged with many facilities destroyed during the withdrawal of US-led troops and American citizens on August 31.
The airport authority confirmed that the airport had received aircraft carrying humanitarian assistance from Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Pakistan and a number of commercial flights from Pakistan, Iran and Qatar in recent weeks despite a long suspension on flights since the Taliban takeover.
