New Delhi: Taliban approached Kabul and can isolate the city in 30 days, and controlling the capital of Afghanistan in 90 days.
This was assessment by US intelligence agencies, the Reuters news agency reported, quoting a defense official.
This came in the middle of the Taliban troops to control eight provincial capital.
The last two falls are Farah, the provincial capital named the same, and Pul-e-Khumri in Baghlan.
Six of other provincial capitals have fallen since Friday in the north in the country, with rebels setting their sights to Mazar-i-Sharif, the largest city in the region.
Another report said that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani had replaced the head of the military when government forces lost control of more areas to advance the Taliban troops.
